This book is too long for me to write a good summary without telling you what happens, so I will just tell you some things you can look for!

• New Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, with a magical eye

• Voldemort plays a very big role in this book

• Sirius is back

• We meet students from other magical schools

• Quidditch World Cup

• We see Ron get jealous

• We see Dobby again, plus we meet more house elves

• S.P.E.W. << that's all I'm going to say

• Hagrid has a girlfriend (for a little bit)

• We see the Dark Mark

• Percy gets a job at the Ministry

• We meet Bill and Charlie Weasley

• The Yule Ball

• Someone dies who wasn't a very big character in the first 3 books but plays a bigger role in this one

• Moaning Myrtle returns

• There are lots of new creatures

• There are 3 Unforgivable Curses
